[SL] DBD; failed to initialise

I am submitting this a second time as the previous post was possibly forgotten 
in the Christmas e-mails.

The details:
 Mandriva 2007
 Postgres 8.1
 Latest SQL-Ledger
 Backed up on one computer and restored on new machine
 
 Error message in bowser is:
 Error
 Access Denied

 initialise

 driver for [DBDriver unset]
 
 Is it a permissions problem or a software problem or database user problem. 
Either something is missing or I have forgotten something in the 
installation.
