[SL] upgrade problem

Hi All,
when I want to upgrade from version 2.4 to 2.6,
I get the following error when I try to update the data set the first time

Error!
create table recurring (id int, reference text, startdate date, nextdate date, 
enddate date, repeat int2, unit varchar(6), howmany int, payment bool 
default 'f')
ERROR: relation "recurring" already exists


and then when I try to upgrade the dataset again I get the following error

Error!
alter table ar add ponumber text
ERROR: column "ponumber" of relation "ar" already exists
