Thanks David and Tim (Lai) for the suggestions. I was,
finally, successful in getting DBI installed. At least
now, I don't get the "DBI not installed" error
message. Also got the DBD installed. But now I get a
500 Internal Server Error. Something is probably
misconfigured. 

I am using non-threaded Perl 5.8.0 on a Mac OS 10.2.8.
I installed Perl using the package installer over the
5.6 that shipped with the OS.

Any thoughts? Or any good troubleshooting advice? 

By the way, Tim, I was originally interested in
outsourcing this whole thing. I asked the list a
couple of weeks ago if there were hosting services
available for this package, similar to the InterChange
hosting companies. But everyone that responded said
this was a self-hosting package.
