Hi Colin and others. Just so you know me I'm Adam Paris on the Space Quest Boards. I read the plot idea below, and I think it sounds cool. I am working on a plot idea myself and so if no one minds I might intergrate some of the below plot into mine and see hwat I can do with it. I few things which I did tell Colin, well I think I did... Before going and jumping into the plot and story etc, we need to think of a number of things. And we do as after ready some posts I can see we are confused as to what is and what isn't. OK lets look at things that seem to reappear each game.... An enemy that has it out for Rog for some reason or other The Time Ship The conflcting bits between Sandiago and Bea Rogers ever failing heroism Roger always seems to fly a ship at some stage to finish the game Roger always seems to visit a planet to finish the game These are just some, lets work on this first rather then come up with plots that could be flawed as some people are confused as to what should or shouldn't be in Rogs life. Oh and importantly don't screw with the time line of Bea and Rog, ya can't kill em off so don't try Once we work this list out we can then work on ok what are some things we would like to see from other SQ games, from that we can say ok, well this one and that one are on the lines of this, ok what could we do... And gatehr udeas this way then we can follow by doing plots (not saying we can't use what we have now as well) and then from that narrow it down from say 100 plots to 5 then that to 2 and then write 2 seperate storylines perhaps and choose the best and keep the other as a backup. The we rewrite the storyline fix glitches or errors and that may go through a number of times until it is just right, then we work on the well ok what happenes if type things, what happens if Rog jumps off the cliff hmmm.... and basicly finsih it off, then the music and soun effects can be made to suit the story and what people do, then we put it into a game and then those guys can worry about the rest, graphics etc, etc, etc, but they'll have to keep going back and forward through us to say well ok we did this now is that the image in ya head.... And then we should have a fully fledge SQ7, excellent graphics, music, script, credits, CD, and Box and Money. So what do you all think..
