Hi,

We currently use spring 2.0.6. We should definitely upgrade to 2.0.7 but
there's already a 2.5 version released so we might use the latter one. 

WDYT? upgrade to:

2.0.7 (bugfixes)
or
2.5

Hello,

I have not tried 2.5 myself yet, but people are complaining about Spring 
2.5 jars on main maven repo, see 
http://forum.springframework.org/showthread.php?p=154309. Maybe we 
should upgrade to 2.0.7 for now and wait for 2.5.1 which will hopefully 
resolve the issues?

These issues mainly address the fact that some repackaging has taken
place. Some jars are renamed or bundled to one artifact. I've already
checked the Spring RCP build to use 2.5 and I haven't had any troubles
with it yet. So far I checked the simple sample/docking sample. The
petclinic has a classNotFoundException that I'm still investigating. But
this is based on a 1.2.8 spring petclinic sample, so that has to be
updated anyways.

Andrius,

2.5.1 should be released soon and will correct the 2.5 maven POM =20
issues introduced when we used the Maven ANT plugin to upload those =20
poms to the repo.

We're using 2.5 on the server-side. So, for us, +1 to use it.

Be aware that the packaging has changed, especially in the area of remoting.
I would encourage explicit dependencies to the smaller packages rather than
one big "blob" of a jar.  Thanks
