Dear Spring community,
I'm pleased to announce that Spring 1.2.7 has just been released.
This is a maintenance release, fixing a number of issues found in previous
1.2.x releases. It also adds a few much-requested minor enhancements
(backported from 2.0 M1/M2), such as:
* improved BeanFactory error messages for nested beans and optimized
internal BeanFactory processing
* added "default-init-method" and "default-destroy-method" attributes to the
XML bean definition format
* ResourceArrayPropertyEditor can translate a set/list of patterns into a
Resource array (rather than just one pattern)
* added "autodetectInterfaces" property to ProxyFactoryBean, for
TransactionProxyFactoryBean-style interface detection
* added support for Quartz 1.5's merged JobDataMap to QuartzJobBean, falling
back to plain JobDataMap on Quartz 1.4
* used NestedServletException wherever a root cause gets wrapped by a
ServletException (for nicer root cause handling)
* added HttpSessionMutexListener and "WebUtils.getSessionMutex", used by
AbstractController's "synchronizeOnSession"
* added VelocityLayoutViewResolver, a convenience subclass of
VelocityViewResolver with support for VelocityLayoutView

FYI: The next scheduled Spring release is 2.0 M3, which will be the last
milestone before 2.0 RC1. If you aren't following our 2.0 milestones
already, I recommend to give the upcoming 2.0 M3 a try and let us know what
you think :-)
