I've written a XSL stylesheet (and Ant target) which transforms the
spring.tld file into a HTML frameset with menu.
I thought this would achieve a couple of things:
- Documentation is as up-to-date as the TLD
- Documentation is sourced from TLD and XSL (and links to Javadocs)
- Benefits of XSL (e.g. consistent and easy to change layout for all tags)
Extra tag comments can be added to the XSL file, but it should be more
maintainable overall. Some of this documentation can be moved to the TLD
according to the TLD DTD (e.g. add "attribute" and "variable" descriptions).
This is the best place for the documentation, as long as there isn't so much
that file size becomes a concern. In that case the documentation can be
moved to the style sheet.
Preview:
I've already sent this post with a 7KB preview attachment but it has never
arrived on the list. Has anyone else had this problem or does it often take
more than 12 hours? If people want a preview let me know and if doesn't
