I've uploaded the Maven POMs for 2.0.1 to our repo. The maven team has already synced us to the main Ibiblio repository so you should be able to get your fix there. Cheers. Ben Hale Spring Training, Consulting and Support - "From the Source" http://www.interface21.com cell: 321.591.2340 |

Just a small note - The main Maven respository is no longer at ibiblio.org. Contegix has been hosting it for the past few months. Not significant to this conversation, but somewhat important in case you ever encounter a problem, someone can get a hold of us. Have a great day! Cheers, Matthew --- Matthew E. Interesting. I didn't know that. Are you hosting the domain (http:// www.ibiblio.org/maven2), or is the data being replicated to the Ibiblio URL? Thank you for the correct location. Is this documented anywhere on the Spring website? Or do you have to "just know"? AFAIK, it's a "just know" kinda thing. It probably should be documented somewhere on the Spring website or in the documentation, though. Perhaps a quick-n-dirty "Building with Maven" section. Somebody should consider making redirection poms for the springframework groupId if it's really all that confusing. http://maven.apache.org/pom.html#Relocation shows you how to do it. It's not that it's confusing...it's just that there are now at least 3 places Spring is located in the main maven repository depending on the version break. And there's no documentation on the Spring website as to where Spring might be in that repository. Without "just knowing", there's no real way to tell Spring had moved from /spring to /springframework to /org/springframework . Someone like myself coming in new to the maven world can easily get lost trying to find things. I think this is because in Maven1 there really wasn't a default naming convention for the groupId, so the repositories have these to maintain backward compatibility. Most new libraries being posted to the Maven repositories follow the standard naming convention of using the fully qualified domain name for the groupId followed by the module name, which is why you'll find the new Spring libraries in org/springframework instead of just /springframework. There is a really good free eBook available for Maven2 from the guys over at Mergere, here is the link http://www.mergere.com/m2book_download.jsp Here is a snippet talking about the groupId naming convention... "groupId: this setting indicates your area of influence, company, department, project, etc., and it should mimic standard package naming conventions to avoid duplicate values. For this example, you will use com.mergere.m2book.migrating, as it is our 'unofficial' example version of Spring; however, the Spring team would use org.springframework" Jeremy Anderson -----Original Message----- From: spr...@li...
