[Springframework-developer] Why no autowiring of properties in ActionSupport?

Hi,

Why does ActionSupport does not do autowiring of subclass properties?  
It seems to me this would improve the value-offer of this integration  
strategy for Struts.

Its certainly possible but we have DelegatingActionProxy which is a lot 
more powerful.
