I have tried to run the demo from your website but continue to get =
Hibernate exceptions. Am I doing something wrong?

no, you're not doing anything wrong, it's been broken for a long time.

Guys, we should either fix this or remove it completely - I think it
looks really bad for people who see it as their first Spring experience.

It looks like the Petclinic app itself isn't broken as the pages that 
are static or don't need a database connection are working, it just 
can't connect to the datasource when it needs to. It should be easy to 
fix for whoever has access.
