[Springframework-developer] Dao implementation with ldap

Hi all,
  I would like to know whether the dao variants have reached the ldap 
domain. I mean, there is much work done for jdbc, ibatis, hibernate but 
I don't recall anything about ldap on the source tree. Is it a 
philosophical/technique choice or just a lack of will/time to do so ? In 
the later case, I'd be glad to attempt to provide a high level piece of 
code leveraving jndi to access ldap in a way similar (in term of ease) 
as jdbc.

I think it would be good to have LDAP support. It's a question of bandwidth,
and what Spring developers/contributors need to work with and what people
have asked for... A contribution would be most welcome.
