Indeed, this seems to be related. Please give a recent 2.0.2 snapshot a try
and see whether your scenario works there...
As SPR-2955 indicates, I suppose you got hit by the "p:" namespace not
working at all for inner beans: So your init method might get invoked first
simply because the setters will never be invoked at all!

A declaration use a nested declaration for it's dependency. The nested one
uses init-method="load" fo internal setup.
I've changed my xml configs to use the p:namespace. The load method is
invoked BEFORE dependencies get injected.
Is this a known bug ?
