Colin,

You meant to include spring-projects as another module to leave in place,
right?

What goes in "i21" and "samples"?  I wasn't aware they were being used.

[Springframework-developer] Spring Framework 1.2.2 released

Dear Spring community,

I'm pleased to announce that Spring 1.2.2 has just been released. This is a
bugfix and minor enhancement release. It also provides a unified basis for
the upcoming Spring WebFlow release candidate.

Besides refinements in the JTA transaction synchronization and SQLException
translation, this release introduces a variety of internal refactorings and
new helper classes. Furthermore, support for JDK 1.5's XML-based properties
format has been added to all relevant Spring classes.

We have also extended our reference documentation in various areas. Most
importantly, it covers JDO, TopLink, OJB, and JCA CCI now.

As per the email below, I am going to submit a support request to SF to 
remove the following obsolete or wrongly checked in modules from 
Spring's CVS on SourceForge:

- 'spring-binding'

features are in CVS now, most of them already for more than a week. The only
remaining issues I'm working on are some refinements in the sample
applications and in the reference documentation.

try, for last-minute feedback! Committers, please let me know if you commit
anything to CVS in the meantime (even if it's just some fix for a typo in
the documentation).

[Springframework-developer] Missing property editing with status.value

Hi,

A user entered form input CSV string gets mapped to a String[]  
command property by the default StringArrayEditor. On an error I'd  
expect spring.status.value (I'm using freemarker) to give me the  
property edited value back, but I'm just getting the string array  
property.

This isn't the behavior I expected. The value is property edited from  
the form to the command by default, shouldn't it be edited back? Do I  
have to explicitly register the editor to get the CSV value?

The taglib documentation says:

     status.value: the actual value of the bean or property  
(transformed using registered PropertyEditors)

Since the StringArrayEditor is registered by default I'd expect it to  
kick in?
