All,
I think we need to bring back some life in the project. I don't want this
project to die. It has a lot of potential, and is being successfully used.
I'm willing to invest more time into the framework, but we're missing two
things:
1. a roadmap
2. leadership
first thing we must do is create a roadmap
end of year: 1.0RC1 (fix all urgent bugs in jira, no extra
functionality)
january: 1.0: final 1.0 release
....
There are about 35 bugs in jira that are open/unresolved/reopened. Some of
them are enhancement requests, some won't be implemented, so I think the
final count is down to 25 or so.
It should be possible to clear them all out by the end of the year, and have
a stable release ready.
second thing: about the leadership: Jan, can you resume the rol of project
lead, or do we choose/assign a new project lead?
what do you guys think?
regards,
Peter
