The attached patch adds support for the calendar week to start with Sunday instead of the default of Monday.

thanks for the patch, this was a long missing feature.
I needed to make some GUI improvements, some comments were wrong (negation) and there was a lot of duplicated code in the CalendarDrawingArea. The use of the current start weekday was also missing in the filter dialog (current week button).

I looked at the code in the filter dialog calendar as well. It turns out that they deprecated the start week day bit in gtk 2.4, it now uses the current locale to determine which to use. Unfortunately there is not API to get that from GTK, and they actually use the translations of GTK to determine it for each locale. That's why I chose to add an option...
