The spootnik code base has undertook a serious lifting
lately. The complex directory structure has been simplified, and some functionnality removed to clarify
the source.

We will now adopt a different policy on version numbering, up until a semi stable state is reached, we will use snapshots with a version number based on the date.

I am very pleased to announce several people interested in joining the project.

2 core developpers might join our forces
1 web developper
1 documentation writer (mickytaylor, whose email doesn't seem to work, i get bounces on your address, please give me a functionnal email address).

The 0.9 release came out yesterday. The project now needs to enter serious debugging, the maildir code needs to be improved as well as the SMTP server.

The upcoming 0.8 release will now include our integrated web administration tool and a much cleaner installation procedure.

Up to 1.0 releases will only contain bugfixes.

The latest version of IMAP has just been merged in the main spootnik CVS tree, have a look and enjoy it !

And don't forget to report BUGS !!!

We are on the look for motivated programmers.
Our IMAP code needs another developper (it is too thorough for juste one coder, as hardcore as he might be !).
The project also needs a spootnik-sendmail maintainer
