To maintain file integrity, perhaps a CRC, MD5, etc,
value for each split file, as well as the original whole file,
could be stored. When recovering the split files back into
the original, these values could be compared to insure
no files were corrupt. Taking this one step further,
perhaps error detection and correction could be included.
