I"ve built SSM a couple of times recently on my system
(Yellowdog Linux 3.0.1, kernel 2.4.22g, ALSA 1.0.1
FLTK-1.1.4-1 JACK 0.94.0-1). When I try to run SSM
from a console, the following message is output for
every SSM plugin (I"m only including one as example):

WARNING: File /usr/local/lib/SpiralPlugins/XFadePlugin.so
could not be
examined dlerror() output:
/usr/local/lib/SpiralPlugins/XFadePlugin.so: undefined
symbol:_ZN10SpiralInfo6LOCALEE

I get this from SSM I build and the Debian packages.
And I"m on powerpc too. I wonder if this is some
toolchain issue or something.

I had someone else check this for me last night, same
exact thing happened with a straight run.

he was using, gentoo ppc, gcc 3.2, glibc 2.3

My Yellowdog box exhibits the same behaviour: the
plugin error messages occur whether I"m perform a
straight run or a test run.

My system: Yellowdog Linux 3.0.1, GCC 3.2.2-2a, glibc-
2.3.1-51a
