I'm no server master and I need some assistance.
I have a Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server with Apache2 (2.2.22) and PHP5. I did extract and copy the Simple PHP Blog files to web site subfolder "blog". I checked acording to manual that SafeMode and reagister_globals was set to off in the php.ini file. The /blog directory is unlocked.
When I try to enter the the blog as stated in the manual I end up with "Index of /blog" and all files and folders in that folder listed below. I do not get the setup wizard.
Sounds like PHP isn't installed correctly. In the case of Ubuntu you need to make sure you have installed "libapache2-mod-php5" and then restart apache and that should do it.
Hi nabber00 and thank you for a quick reply to my call for help.
PHP5 and libapache2-mod-php5 was not installed (I was convinced I hade PHP5 installed). I Installed PHP5 and I installed libabache2-mod-php5 after. I restarted Apache2 and finally the server it self but I cant get anything else then "Index of /blog".
Well this is how my test page looks: http://www.shoremandesign.com/blog/mac_shoreman/
It shows correct if one use the IP-URL: [url=null]http://188.8.131.52/MSD/blog/mac_shoreman/index.php
