Spellinator / News: Recent posts

I created some pages in the wiki that we can try using to coordinate our planning efforts. Some questions I would like to explore are:

I finally got the old mac hypercard version of the program to work under the vMac emulator. You will need to have Mini vMac on your linux/ windows pc. Then download the file http://zikes.ca/hfs30M.DSK.zip Uncompress it and start the vMac emulator with the file by dragging it onto your vMac. The program alias or shortcut is on the desktop. The program uses the arrow keys extensively to move up and down on the page (limits of old mac display) and also the windows key or ctrl (can't remember which) emulates the option key which is used heavily in the program to change items or select items to be changed. I have uploaded some jpegs of the printed output of the original program. These can be found under the Wiki page under files. Hope this helps give a clearer picture of the activities.

A file containing the spelling word lists has been uploaded. These word lists are grouped by word families or patterns. They would be available to the teacher or parent as they are selecting words to use with students for a particular week or lesson.
