[Speedycgi-users] Slow SpeedyCGI response / multiple parallel requests

Hello,

I've been using SpeedyCGI for years without any problems. Currently I'm
writing a new web based app that should work with Speedy and ran into a
problem: the CGI script in question calls itself back via <img> tags in
the servered HTML page (the src attribute points back to the same CGI).
Now it seems that Speedy responds very slowly (1-2 seconds?) if the
number of such <img> tags is getting higher (currently, there are 4 of
them - not too many in my eyes). I'm also surprised to see that I never
get more than 3 speedy_backends running - could this point to the
problem?

Has anyone got an explanation for this? Thanks for any hint!
