Anyone up to update at least the manual? It needs reshooting the screenshots in trunk/doc/userman/images (800x512 jpg) and updating the text where necessary.
It has 4 chapters, one chapter is I think only 1-2 hours to update. They are:
I want to drive! (5 pics)
    Player's Control Configuration (9 pics)
    General Configuration Options (13 pics)
    Racing (16 pics)

I am starting with a new chapter describing the dashboard, as it made pitting less trivial. Then continue with the other chapters. Please drop a note here if you volunteer for a chapter to avoid double work.

The dashboard chapter was committed in r6364 and r6365.
Next will be the Racing chapter.

Chapter 'Racing' is done in r6367-r6369.
Note for the jpegs: I convert the screenshots with GIMP, using 90% quality.

I updated the text and graphics. I am not sure what to put for Arcade and Semi-Rookie. Please correct them if I have it wrong.

Updated the text in r6375, added description for new items in menus and updated where it was necessary.

Someone better knowing graphics, please could add a few lines about "video modes detection" in "Display configuration", and about the various Sky dome options in "Graphics" (both are in chapter "General Configuration Options")?

Updated text in [r6377]. Display Options.
I don't know if this section is still relevant:

Advanced: Under Windows, you can also set the maximum screen refresh rate (Hz) during the game : if your real hardware screen refresh rate is 75 Hz, it's useless (no harm, only warm and noise ;-) to use a higher value as your CPU will work for nothing. Under Linux, use your video driver configuration tool and set the "Sync to VBlank" option to get the same effect.

Also, I could not figure out where the manual is installed (on Linux)
