I like to refer to your mail.
I agree with you for the 2.1's planning, this seems possible finishes
that were not done on 2.0 - especially carsets and robots.
For 3.0, I responds to your mail and mail on the future graphics engine.
For the simulation, I don't know whereis the SimuV4's development, but
already the integration of tire changes would not hurt, provided that
the robots take care of this.
Otherwise I have also made proposals on the game itself, but at timeno
one answered, so I do asskydome where I had the same problem, I'm
working on it and I will commite when it will be inan advanced stage,
this mode comes in addition not a replacement free of race.
To the graphics engine, I have already spoken, Brian was my opinion, the
strongest and most stable rest OpenSceneGraph, Irrlich remains fairly
limited, Ogre takes a lot of power, not stable and often changes API.
- A real multithreading graphic
- Reads many formats (including AC)
- Can include plugins for other formats
- Manages native shaders
- Manage native stereo display
for graphics, cast a look at the FlightGear project and see the
difference between PLIB and OSG version.
Brian left the project for personal reasons but he gave me his work on
OSG, he wrote a plugin to load files directly ACC, but our code has
changed a lot between his work and our current version, so there are
change anything for the basic code works.
But you also know that the Flightgear project took four years to migrate
completely to OSO.
I have never pretended to be the best encoder (in the team there better
than me), but when I opened this project, the migration to OSG was
already in my head, so I've started working on this part. I understand
that the team has no choice but I do not coderai a party would not
For the graphics, I also have to load parts of the scene outside the
main stage (which would have scenes more or less detailed depending on
options and also manage the seasons).
