Hi all, I just read in the summary of the last meeting that the naming scheme is now fixed on MP1, MP2 etc. Excuse me to restart this disscussion but I think it's important. I don't agree to the opinion that "the trade name has nothing to do with a racing series, so it's ok". I still don't think that this is a good idea. I agree that it's impossible to create an abbrevation that is not used. But I think it is _absolutely_ possible to avoid combinations of two letters and a number (such as mp3) which are so well-known and rights reserved by such powerful companies! two letters+number gives us 26²*10 possibilities which is 6 760, if we used three letters, we even have 175 760 possibilities. I think we really shoud avoid MP3 and MP4. My idea would be: MP A, MP B, MP C, MP D etc. or MP10 MP20 or if you like this more: MP 11 MP 12 MP 13 One more idea: Formula 1 = MP 10 Formula 2 = MP 9 etc. etc. JUST NOT MP3! Or why not MP I MP II MP III MP IV I think this is not preserved by anyone, at least it is not as absolutely the same thing like a preserved name (MP3). It would keep our naming scheme but would avoid using a preserved sequence of characters.
