Hi Gabor, Hi Kristof,

even if the track has to be realistic, the scenery may be fictitious.
I recall that this project was designed to be more fun for the players and not only for developers of robots, it is the difference between us and Torcs.
The player wants to fight the best robots or other players on beautifull track and not just a road, wall and ground ... Finally, this is my point of view.

But OK, I don't commite.

I've already told Xavier I have 3D scenery for the buildings around the track, but they lack textures. The buildings match the real ones: hotels, yacht club, baseball stadium etc.
BTW why hurry so much, did we agree on anything regarding this track? We've had tracks with minimal scenery for years...

Hello Xavier,

looks nice, and pretty Florida-ish, as it should.

As for realism, looking at onboard videos there are no big buildings besides the main straight (it is an airport runaway), but there are more grandstands  - on the right side of the main straight, basically behind the whole pit lane, between T1 and T2, and after T11 (the left hander at the end of the backstretch). Even if realism is not aimed, more grandstands are needed.

If complete realism is aimed:
- it might be my eye wrong, but that high building seems to be on the wrong place (the one you see in the middle of sd*4842.png, seems it is the same buiding as seen sd*4901.png, that is between T8 and T9. It should be before T8, and there are 2 smaller, orangeish buildings between T8 and T9.
- after T3 first there are lower buildings.

You can look at Google Map, and Street View covers most of the track (you can search for Dan Wheldon Way, Saint Petersburg, USA). Here is a track map to locate all turns: http://www.gpstpete.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=71&Itemid=238
