I am with the department of electrical engineering of Universidad de Sevilla. I am interested in using SD to teach electric vehicles. Therefore I am trying to adapt SD for using electric motor propulsion. Firstly I am just configuring a conventional car in order to behave as an electric car (speed/torque curve and gear box). Results are ok, but it is not enough, so I decided to modify engine.cpp and brake.cpp in order to take into account regenerative braking, battery energy consuption instead of fuel, etc.
I am having relatively good results but I need help from you. I need guidance in order to know which is the best way to develope an electric propulsion in SD. We have experience in modeling batteries, power electronic converters, electric motors and their control.

I like the idea to bring EV's into SD. To get a better response you should write this to the developers mailing list and even better become yourself an active developer.

I like the idea to bring EV's into SD. To get a better response you should write this to the developers mailing list and even better become yourself an active developer.
