I tried the simon 0.3 installer for windows and it looks very nice - good work.
One thing i stumpled about is that the installer adds the simon installation path to the system path. I think that this should be avoided for the following reason:
- qt and kde libraries are not versioned. In the case there are other KDE installations on windows and they add their installation path to the system search path too, simon or the other application will load a kde or qt library from the wrong location - depending on the install order - and may fail.
I do not know for what reason this has been choosen, but the KDE libraries and application on windows normally do not need this. If there are places in kde which forces adding the installation path to the system path, please let me know.
I think the main reason for this was that simon uses KStandardDirs::findExe() to find the external utilities it relies on. On order for this to work, they have to lie in the search path.
