PCI based PLX wireless chipset

Most PCI wireless 802.11b PCMCIA cards come with a
simple pci to pcmcia adapter using the PLX Technology
chipset, which doesn't seem to work under linux at
all...
I've been trying to get various wireless cards to work
in a Slackware 7.1 server to no avail. So far, neither
the Linksys nor SMC or 3com have worked. Though the
PCMCIA cards work fine in a laptop, the PCI to PCMCIA
cards they sell do not seem to function. All these
cards use the same chipset.

I have the same problem with the intel 2011 pcmcia card
when used with the intel pci to pcmcia card in a
workstation - the pci/pcmcia adapter card is not recognised

I have The same problem. I'm using currently some prism2
based cards and the softwa is linux-wlan-ng but it
compiles and creates _plx.o file which WORKS just fine
with PLX - PCI to PCMCIA bridge. I dont know what the
problem is, but I really need to fix it by some ways :) I
need to have Intel 2011 card working in my desktop
computer, with pci to pcmcia bridge instead of pcmcia slot.
Please help
