Hi, I'm back again! Last week I try to deeply test your beta4 and I found one trouble: if you send or receive a lot of traffic continuously (I tried with repeatly ftp of 3MB file) after a period of time the card stop transmitting data (yes, only transmitting). I see this looking with tcpdump and ifconfig; only incoming data are handled but not outcoming (outcoming of all kinds, so TCP connection, ARP request and so on). The card is still active at radio level, because my AP (Windows with another pcmcia card) report signal. Also, I made the card on Linux an AP and the other (on Windows) normal card, and the problem still remain (and Windows report excellent strength signal). The problem is not on Windows side, because rebooting Windows do not resolve problem. Instead, making and 'ifconfig down' and then 'ifconfig up' restore normal functionality of the card. The problem remain also with a flood ping and data of about 1kb. I tried instead with a normal 'ping -t' and it worked without loosing data for about 40 hours (then I stopped it...). I tested this on: kernel 2.2.16 pcmcia-cs 3.1.24 spectrumw24 beta4 PCI-to-Cardbus adapter with TI1225. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Fabio Terrile | Don't interrupt me while | | e-mail: ta...@mb... | I'm interrupting. | | | W.
