On that computer I tried kernel 2.2.18 with pcmcia-cs-3.1.23, kernel 2.4.0ac8 with the in kernel pcmcia drivers and with external pcmcia-cs-3.1.23. In all cases I get the above error message. I moved the card over to my laptop (a Dell Inspiron 5000), and within Windows 2000, the card works fine. Under Linux on the same laptop, using the RH7 kernel "2.2.16-22", I updated to pcmcia-cs-3.1.23 and got the same error message from before, and then I downgraded pcmcia-cs to 3.1.12 (the version that the Spectrum24t driver was written against). Still the same error message. The card is has firmware version: V2.20-01 dated 09/21/2000. Again, it is a Symbol, Spectrum24 HighRate 11 Mbps, LA-41X1 PC Card. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Dax |
