specfe is intended as a graphical front-end to the spec data acquisition software.

It is largely written in Tcl/Tk but also contains a helper program written in C.

It is written be Guy Jennings   jennings@anl.gov

Options to ./configure:

'./configure --with-specd=DIR'  lets you indicate to specfe the
location of the	spec configuration directory.  The default location
for SPECD is /usr/local/lib/spec.d/

'./configure --with-geometry=GEOM' lets you indicate to specfe the
default spec geometry to run.  The default is 'fourc'

'./configure --with-watcher=PATH' lets you indicate to specfe the path
to the auxiliary specwatcher program.  The default is
/usr/local/bin/specwatcher

'./configure --with-noexafs'  lets you disable the exafs features of
specfe.  By default they are enabled.   Note that the exafs features
are still included in the specfe program, and may be re-enabled from
the specfe preferences command.
