#1 v1.1 application weirdness

System: Windows 2000 sp4
IE6 sp1 plus patches to 30 June 2003
Speaker daemon v1.1
.NET framework installed
MS Speech engine installed

Hi
Speaker daemon appeared to install fine on this system.
However, when running the program, it appears to load,
the taskbar icon comes up, but as soon as someone
moves the nmouse to the icon, the icon disppears and
the app dies. I think the application may be dying as it
loads up. Have you heard of this as yet?

Hi,
That problem happens when for some reason the program
cant initialize the MS SAPI voice engine, is it incorrectly
installed ?
Next version will have a more elegant exit in that case with a
user notification of the problem
The program in dev time was never tested on win2k so in that
plataform some problems can occur

I second this problem.
All SAPI, .NET installed on win2k sp4, it does just exit
after startup. It registers the icon on the taskbar, but
then dies.
Other SAPI programs work.
Using SpeakerDaemonInst1-2.msi

This happens to me too. WinNT SP6a. Loaded the MS Agent
Text to Speech engine and speech SAPI.
