#7 Kiki checkboxes don't work on OS 10.5

Kiki in SPE on OS X [various pythons -- say 2.6, OS 10.5.5, current wxPython, SPE from subversion or download) works except for the flags checkboxes. Any idea why? Checkboxes work in small wxPython test programs, and in Kiki on Windows.

I'll help fix if you give me some suggestions.
