I recently started to use SPDLib. I'm installed Ubuntu 11.04 in a VirtualBox, so I'm still using Windows. It works all fine, so I can recommend this if you still want to use Windows. I'm using the Python bindings. There is no documentation about the Python bindings for the moment, but if you have a look in the python folder you can find a couple of examples. I will contribute with the converter I have created from ptx to upd (filename: ptx2upd.py). I will upload that one in a week or so. So what are you waiting for? Start to play with the library! Pete and John have done a great job with the library!
