Tests are good - my only caveat is that we still have to deal with the difference bewtween the SQL world view and SPARQL world view so we can't just take the JDBC tests as they are. (e.g. types of data items are not per column; SPARQL gives variable number of columns per row (I'm assuming we null the holes - but it is a design decision to be worked through)).
