Thank you very much, for the SpaceFM file manager.

I found it so user friendly, especially its capability to save all settings, very attractive and so I decided to create a Live CD out of it and hosted it for the benefit of others here : https://sourceforge.net/projects/quick-save-live/

While creating this live cd, I gave a fair trial to all the lightweight file managers out there : Rox-filer, Pcmanfm, Thunar, Emelfm2.

SpaceFM won the race, for all its lovely features !

Some things that catch a user's attention were there in EMELFM2, which I thought could be easily ported to SpaceFM as well : ( Refer Screenshot Enclosed For a Quick View of EMELFM2 )

    1. A cool blue color font for the file / folder names. Reduces glare and makes it easy to work for a longer time.
    2. A Vertically Center or a Top icon strip/bar, with icons for the most frequently used operations between panels. This is a little tricky, as SpaceFM supports more than two panels. For this, the icon bar can be enabled / visible, if the user has chosen a two panel display only.
    3. Pressing TAB key should move the cursor between the panels that are open, for easier navigation
    4. Keyboard Shortcuts for the most frequently used operations, for operating from the current panel, to the next panel. May be enabled for a two panel display only. Shortcuts should be easy to remember like Shift+C, Shift+M etc. to denote the Shift Operation involved :) This feature should make this file manager a very powerful tool to use.

Also, the File Search Tool can be improved to search for filenames, containing the search string, in any part of their name, instead of expecting the newbie users to put * ( stars ) around them. If time permits for a better design work, then radio button options like Begins With, Ends With, Contains, Does Not Contain etc. can be introduced, just below the Search String, to make it easy for the new users to search for what they want. The Radio Button "Contains" should be the default choice here.

Hope these features can be implemented in future releases, if your time permits.

Thanks once again for your contribution of SpaceFM to the world !

For point no 4. above : Also, these shortcut keys can be displayed as a Tool Tip for the icons, on the icon bar, as discussed in point 2 above.

root based operations can also be simplified with shortcut keys like Shift+Ctrl+C, Shift+Ctrl+M etc. in the same fashion above, with the sudo privileges of that user ( Not su privileges as they unnecessarily ask for a password ) .

    4) In View > Design Mode you can set your own keyboard shortcuts.
    3) Check out View > Focus > Prev/Next

I'd be happy with just a standard user interface instead of this insane "split-personality" between the main menu and the right click menu.
The main menu doesn't even have the standard cut, copy, paste functions.
Why name something "design" instead of "customize" like every other app since the stone age?
I know, it's hard to say this, without ofending the author of SpaceFm, but that's the way I see it.
Why not stick to standards, why try to reinvent the wheel?
SpaceFM is wonderfull in all other aspects except the UI.
