I found out this. There's a guy on Twitter with the same nic who twits pretty regularly. Last one was mid December. But there is no mention of programming or any IT related subject there and it doesn't SOUND like IG, so I suspect it is somebody else. Maybe one of you with a Twitter account could ask that chap if he is OUR Ignorantguru.

Lew_Rockwell_Fan here, posting as anon 'cause I can't get to my passwords easily at the moment. I have one additional datum. He posted a commit to the bleeding edge alpha in August. So it isn't quite as long as I said, but it is still quite a while, consider his previous posting frequency.
I fear the worst. Lost too damn many friends lately. I barely knew IG, but I liked the way he thought, and he was a kind and helpful Guru. Lift a glass to him, lads and lasses, and hope he is in Tahiti with a pocket full of gold and no net connection. Or recovering if he's ill. Or in a Mohammedan (yes, I'm un-PC - fsck 'm. Oversensitivity is the 8th deadly sin) paradise if he's no longer in meat space. This is the best damn gui file manager ever made (Gentoo may be good, but who can figutre it out?) and we owe him a debt we may have to try to pay forward.

Well, good news maybe? If I understood correctly this page: https://github.com/IgnorantGuru/spacefm/tree/alpha
unless somebody else used his credentials, IG posted code for the alpha branch of Spacefm less than 2 months ago.

He used to responed to emails too, I emailed him the other day because my 'login' quit working and still haven't heard anything back. I do hope he is ok.

Ignorantguru used to post fairly regularly and quit suddenly 7 months ago. Anybody know if he's OK? Or anything pertinent?

I'm concerned as well. Did anyone hear anything about IG?

It would be a shame if the project wouldn't be maintained anymore, but primarily I hope IG is okay!
Thanks for your interest. After an extended break I may be getting to a few things shortly, as I mentioned here.
IG ... always great to hear you are doing well!
VSIDO is still at 1.0.5 and as far as I know all is well..
I do have a small issue that I will post over at github.
Welcome back my friend
Best news I've heard in a while. Hope you've been enjoying yourself. IG. (slightly different nic because I can't find my old password)
I'm really glad you're OK IG! Hope you're well!
