I am please to announce the long-awaited sequel to Space.dock. Binaries and source code are available here: http://space.sourceforge.net The new version abandons the dockling format in favor of Application Dock Menus and a floating palette. The user interface will be familiar to those who have used older versions of Space.app. The newest feature is global hotkeys: You can now set custom hot keys and use them to navigate between workspaces. Feedback, suggestions and patches are always welcome. You are encouraged to use the bug-tracking system provided by sourceforge.net if you encounter problems. Thanks to everyone who has written to me with ideas and encouragement. Peace on Earth, --Riley |

The latest version of Space.app is now available at Sourceforge: http://space.sourceforge.net This version (unlike 0.6) is compatible with Mac OS X 10.0 (retail). As the subject line indicates, Space.app is now a dockling. If you have a moment, let me know what you think about the new interface: Is this a step in the right direction, or should we bring back the window and the buttons in a hurry? If you are a non-english speaker, I would be gratified if you'd take the time to translate the strings (in "Localizable.strings" in the dock bundle) into your mother tongue. As soon as I receive new translations, I will add them to the distribution. Feel free to write to me with your questions or suggestions. Patches and bug reports can also be registered via the project home page at sourceforge. Thanks for your interest in Space.app, er, dock. --Riley |
