Space Dodge 0.5 Alpha

This is the second release of Space Dodge. It is an Alpha Release - To see what that means, read the reltype.txt file under the documents folder.

While the game is FAR from completion, it main component are already here:

a) Scrolling background
b) The players spaceship (currently only with keyboard control)
c) Some "Enemies" (Asteroids, meteorite, missiles)
d) Basic Collision Detection using "Reduced Rectangles"
e) A "game engine"
f) An "Enemy engine"
g) Level and Game Bounding
h) Dynamic Sprite Allocation

Of course, the graphic is right down horrible (can someone please help? Drop us a line!), and only the first level have been completed. We also plan on having a better collision detection, and add some "defence" elements to the player ship (we don't plan in this stage to equip the ship with weapons - the emphasis has been on dodging - not attacking.). We started developing some story line. You can keep in touch with the development cycle by reading the Roadmap document under the document directory.

Playing is strait forward - you use the four arrows keys to dodge ANYTHING you see. Currently the game has only that one level - lasting three minutes. The level is not random - it's pre-planed and will play the same every time.

We can use any help one can offer - particularly if you are good with graphic and music.
