My deepest apologies. One of the troubles of open source is that
you can break everybody else's worlds by remote control.
Once you realise, you can revert to the last version where it is
as it was.

Not sure precisely what you are referring to but
I've been looking at the libtool libltdl dynamic formats ("SoX plugins")
stuff recently, which is how LADSPA plugins are found and loaded;
presumably loading and usinng VST ones should be possible too,
more your area than mine :)
