Ravi, I don't know what to tell you. The XML file you sent for the project/folder you are having trouble with clearly shows that there are no sub-folders or files in that folder. It is not possible that this was somehow changed when you moved your archive from one server to another. Either a) the archive you copied was not the one you meant to copy (it was an old backup or something) or b) the XML you sent was not the correct XML (there was another project in your archive with the same name). I'm not sure what else I can do to help. --Rob --- ravi gupta <rav...@ya...> wrote: > yes, it has many subprojects and labels, this is the screenshot of the one that i tried to move? > thanks again! > ravi > p.s. anything i can try? > > > Robert MacGrogan <rob...@ya...> wrote: > I can tell by looking at the XML that this project/folder is empty. Hi, Ravi. I really don't know why this could have happened. Look for the project xml file in the archive projects directory on your file system. Does it point to all of the files that you expect to see in that project? Do those files exists in the files directory? That's a start, anyway. --Rob --- ravi gupta <rav...@ya...> wrote: > hey robert, as always, thanks for your responses. > i am following directions for transferring archvives to another server, everything works nicely, > except for one project (Website), nothing shows up under there? it's strange, i counted all the > files in the move, they are the same? > any ideas? > server and client 1.3 (i am following the below) > > Overview > Sometimes you will need to move an entire SourceJammer archive from one machine to another. > Currently, there is not automatic system for accomplishing this. Hello, Everyone. Anyone who has monitored this list over the last couple of months must have realized that I've been out of the loop for a while. I have been very busy with all kinds of other matters and just did not have the energy to respond to help requests. To anyone who needed me when I wasn't there, I'm sorry. And to anyone who helped someone else out in my absence, I thank you. I am not going to try to start going through the backlog of unanswered messages. I'll try to get through all of them over the next week or so. Thanks. --Rob __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Check out the new Yahoo! Front Page. www.yahoo.com |

I've recently upgraded from source jammer 2.0 to 2.1. Everything seemed to go fine. I've now tried to set a label on a folder and get the following error = message: Error: Unable to access File information org.sourcejammer.project.model.filesys.MasterFileNodeFS I get this same error message when trying to share the same folder i've tried labeling and sharing on another folder in the archive and it = works fine. Does this error indicate some kind of corruption? |

I had the same Xalan problem after upgrading to JRE 5.0. Here is my workaround: 1. Download the latest xalan.jar (http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi/xml/xalan-j choose a mirror and then download xalan-j-current-bin.zip) 2. Extract xalan.jar (in the bin folder) 3. Copy xalan.jar to %catalina_home%\webapps\sourcejammer\WEB-INF\lib 4. Restart Tomcat I'm not really up on XML parsing so I'm not sure if this is the "correct" way to fix the issue, but it seems to have worked for me. As for the sourcejammer.exe not running, I think if you edit the sourcejammer.properties file and change the JRE Version to 1.5 it should run. I am attempting to use the sj SJGetProject class in my ant target. <target name="init"> <taskdef name="sjgetproject" classname="org.sourcejammer.client.ant.SJGetProject"/> </target> When I do an ant init, I get a class def cannot be found error for org.sourcejammer.client.ant.SJGetProject. I have tried quite of few different things like setting the sj_home, adding the sj_client.jar to show up in my path and I have tried to run this ant script at every level in the sj directory. Does anyone have any suggestions? Brian |

Rob, I now have someone working for me that has the Java background to be able to help debug this problem. Can you suggest a place for us to start at? If not then I'm going to begin looking at a replacement and I don't won't to do that. I think that Source Jammer is an excellent product and would like to continue using it. We're getting somewhere. The branch report builder is running into a problem pulling in the meta-data file for one of the branches--but it's not a file not found. Let's take a look at that master file. It's number 174 in the masterfile directory. Also, could you look again for exceptions in the server-side log. We've got to be getting some exception logging in there somewhere. --Rob --- Thomas Conte <tc...@ma...> wrote: > Rob, > > Attached is the file in question. Hi, Forgive me if this is the wrong point of contact but I am trying to submit a question to the Sourcejammer user list. I have recently installed SourceJammer Client and Server 2.1.0.0 on Win2000 with: TomCat 5.0.28 JDK5.0 and JRE5.0 Java_Home points to the JDK5.0 installation. The JDK bin directory is in the path. Browsing: http://myserver/sourcejammer/ provides the expected web interface however of course at this point there are not archives to browse. Likewise browsing: http://myserver/sourcejammer/soap/admin provides the expected little XML-Soap Admin utility. I observe two unfortunate behaviors however: 1, When I run the SJ_GUI.bat file the client executes without error. However when I attempt to create the first archive I receive the error: SourceJammer is having trouble communicating with the server. A fault was generated: Fault Code = SOAP-ENV:Server Fault String = Exception from service object: Provider org.apache.xalan.processor.TransformerFactoryImpl not found 2, When I run the Sourcejammer.exe client utility it reports that the JRE is not installed however the JRE is in fact installed. If I use the SJ_GUI.bat file it appears to function properly. I think the second behavior is unrelated to the first but is more likely the result of something wrong in my classpath settings ... Although running sourcejammer.exe worked fine when using J2SDK1.4.2. Any help on these issues would be appreciated. Thanks, Duane |

Ola Enrique, i am not absolutely sure about that problem; but i learned that, most=20 times such kind of problems occur, the cause is one or more corrupted xml files. So i recommnend to check the following files about consistency: sourcejammer/server/filesys/users.xml and for every archive: sourcejammer/server/filesys/[archive_name].sja Lookout for empty Tags (like <userName></userName> or something like = that), unclosed Tags, and unallowed characters. Hope that helps! Greetings from Cologne, Germany! Hi sourcejammer-users, I have a problem with OEM xtra chars. As described in documentation I added= <TextEncodingCharset>ISO-8859-1</TextEncodingCharset> = <XMLEncodingCharset>ISO-8859-1</XMLEncodingCharset> = to server's and client's conf.xml. Evrything is fine with ANSI charset, but= checking in and then getting OEM files, e.g. DOS Batchfiles, destroys xtra= Characters and leaves ? behind (see my testfile attached, it's OEM Codepag= e 850 and contains german =E4=F6=FC=DF=C4=D6=DC and french =E1=E0=E2). Hello, Alessandro. Here's a set of (more or less short) answers to your questions. Mind = that this is not an "authorative" reply, some of the answers may be = wrong and corrected by someone else: 1. If that means "files that have not been checked in by the person who = checked them out", the answer is yes and no. It doesn't directly, but = you can use a plugin to care for it. 2. There's just one server with the repository. To have a proxy-like = repository like you describe, you ought to implement it. 3. Is this sort of the label functionality? (same as in VSS) 4. No, unless you write a plugin for it. 5. If you mean automatically updating the local version of the = repository, there have been some questions about it in the list. Both = for this and for a directory in the server with the latest versions of = the repository, you could write a script that gets the files every some = minutes. To have it synchronally done, you can write a server plugin. 6. If the server and the client are in the same machine, sure. Else, you = can write offline with checked out files, but must connect to check them = in and out. 7. Yes. 8. No, but you can use HTTPS or SSH tunnelling intead of simple HTTP to = connect to the server, so it's as if yes. 9. A repository lies in just one server, a server can have multiple = repositories, and a client connect to multiple servers (once at a time = per client window). 10. Theoretically, no. In practice, some people have experienced some = data corruption in the server, though as far as I know all of them have = been able to fix it with Rob's help. Hope this helps a bit.
