What happens when you try to call up the GUI? Do you get an error message? Does the GUI "hang"
with the splash screen visible? Does nothing at all happen?

One way to debug this is to try the sj_gui.bat file to start the GUI. Make sure to run it from the
command prompt so any error messages will remain on the screen. You'll need to check the path to
javaw in sj_gui.bat.

One other thought. Is it possible that SJLanuch.exe can't find javaw? Check the path to javaw in
SJLaunch.ini.
