Removal of large archive disallows addition of new

Details:
After logging into an account as admin, I deleted a
large, no longer used, archive from the server. As
expected, when I try accessing the archive, it does not
exist. The problem is now I can't create any new
archives on the system. I get the following error (or
one like it with a different file number):
Error: Unable to access file information. Error in
unlocking removed node. Trouble with object locking.
Cannot unlock node: file. 1475. The node is not locked.
This happened in past versions too. I thought that
upgrading might help out, but no such luck.

Does cycling the server help?
Regardless, sounds like a bug that needs to be looked into.
