there's a much newer version that i haven't released. i worked on it
about 8 months ago. it runs, but the build system really doesn't a good
job of installing it, meaning that typically first time usage fails and
you have to figure out what is wrong.

you can find it here: http://ardour.org/files/softwerk-3.0.tar.bz2

it uses GTK+ 2 and scons now (like ardour), and has a few other
improvements.
