There was a thread a while back about bugs in text editing/entry where I mentioned a problem I was experiencing with the text editing dialog not working at all. I have finally stumbled on a reliable way to produce the condition. Start sodipodi Create 2 new document windows Create a multi-line text object in one document (3 or 4 lines is plenty) Select that text Open the Text Editing Dialog At this point, the text in the dialog is fully editable. I still think that a scrollbar would be a useful addition, but it is possible to move around within the text and it scrolls as needed. Focus the other document window Focus the window with the multi-line text again Go back to the (still-open) Text Editing Dialog Dialog is pretty much non-functional Closing the dialog and re-opening it seems to restore functionality, though at this point the apply button is out of step with font changes, alignment changes, etc. Since I often have multiple documents open in Sodipodi and I use the "focus follows mouse" behavior this focus change often happens by accident on my way to the dialog window. This seems to be yet another symptom of the more pervasive tool focus problems I've been seeing when opening more (or less) than 1 document in Sodipodi. -- Lynn Kerby <mailto:lf...@ke...> |
