Windows 98 install problem v .034 Sodipodi

  • Anonymous - 2005-06-01

Help! I installed .034 Sodipodi but when I attempt to run the program it tells me that a DLL is missing, Zlib-1.dll? I think that was it.

    What do I do now?

After a little digging here I found two bug reports the second of which had a solution for this error:

      - - - 1 - - -

Missinf Dll file for Windows ME Version
When I run sodipodi .33 or .34 the program tells me it
cannot find zlib-1.dll and quits. When I checked the
sodopodi directory on my drive I found zlib.dll but not
zlib-1.dll. I am running windows ME. I downloded the ME

      - - - 2 - - -

I have an PC Athlon 900 with 256 mb RAM and installed
sodipodi 0.34 in windows 98 SE with all patches
included .net, but probing run sodipodi shows
message "not found file required zlib-1.dll" in folder
sodipodi exist zlib.dll, then rename zlib.dll to zlib-1.dll and
      sodipodi run normally.
      is a normal?
thanks and greetings from Chile in southamerica.
PD. sorry by my bad english

      - - - end of bug reports - - -

I'll try the solution in the second bug report and see if it works. I'll report back here.

Renaming the file did not work. I had to copy all the gtk 2. stuff into the sodipodi directoy. That information came from the previous post. Windows error on load...

"Copying all your dll dependencies to sodipodi program directory (and gtk+ lib, bin, etc and share directories as well) does solve... "

After I did this the program opened. The windows installer does not work.
