#1 syntax error in "deploy-web-services"

Installing the analysis-interfaces package after the
command "perl Install.pl",
running the command "ws/deploy-web-services", it gives
me the following error:
syntax error at line 126: `(' unexpected

the line 126 of the script is:
shift $(($OPTIND - 1))

My server: Compaq AlphaServer, TRU64 Unix
Any help?
