Installation procedure

Transfer the file :

Enable SSL on Ipcop using your browser, then transfer the file on Ipcop using the SCP command.

scp -P 8022 /home/USER/snort2982-ipcopV2.tar.gz root@YOUR_IP_IPCOP:/home

exemple: scp -P 8022 /home/USER/snort2982-ipcopV2.tar.gz root@192.168.121.08:/home

Go to root in ipcop and install snort :

# cd /home
# tar zxvf snort2982-ipcopV2.tar.gz
# ./setup

Uninstall Snort :

# ./uninstall

Snort add-on logs

Snort add-on interface

If you copy "tar zxvf snort2982-ipcopV2.tar.gz" you will get an error, as this is not present the latest version.
Just replace 82 with 83
tar zxvf snort2983-ipcopV2.tar.gz, and it will install.
