[Snort-inline-users] differences between snort-inline and snort

I'm new to the project and it's not clear to me what are the differences
between snort and snort-inline.
Am i correct to assume that most features are integrated in snort-2.3.0?
If yes, what are those few features only present in snort-inline? And
how often do you guys plan to sync up with the snort "official"
releases? Thanks,
