SniffDet 0.7 released

Sniffdet is an OpenSource implementation of a set of tests for remote sniffers detection in TCP/IP network environments. It's composed by a flexible and easy to use library plus a console application to run the tests.

Sniffdet 0.7 is our first public release. Major features include several tests for remote sniffers detection, config file support, output plugins, dropping of root privileges, manpages and general documentation.

Sniffdet was implemented as part of an undergraduation work for the Computer Science course at Federal University of Paran, Brazil. It is already useful for both developers (it provides a library) and for network administrators, but it still has to evolve in order to be a complete, portable and easy to use solution. We are sure that the OpenSource comunity will help us to improve this project in order to achieve this goal..
